Illogic and Ethics – A Brief Introduction

Illogic and Ethics

     Illogic is e-ver-y-where. . .

Illogic is any illogical conclusion that’s still being used/propagated as if it were logical. Simply, it’s being wrong and acting correct to an extensive degree. It’s used often by abusers to ignore and dismiss and gaslight someone or a group of people, or to justify doing something (usually unethical). It’s also used by the unsuspecting and ignorant, but the results are the same. It can be facts without context or total fabrication; it is something anyone can do but it is more than interpersonal because it takes some form of authority/control over people to pull off. It is often “easily” disproven bullshit. The forms illogic can take depend on the society and era and conditions. Ultimately, across time illogic has persisted for likely more than 8,000 years (before the rise of the earliest known empires, all of which require illogic to pacify and misdirect and dehumanize). Much logical processes (like the kind of supply chains needed to give capacity to genocide) can be born from the abusers who use illogic (like Manifest Destiny, or the right to genocide others) but that doesn’t make it all any less a candidate for illogic.

Ethics and logic have a very close and overlapping relationship. If one group is colonizing, it’s only logical they’re the unethical one. It follows that whatever structuring of society they have that gave capacity to their ability to colonize, is also unethical. Contrary to popular belief, many ethical considerations have fairly straightforward and logical conclusions like this, so how does illogic have so much power? How do people so easily get away with dehumanizing others with fabrications like needing to murder children to feel safe?

It takes an entire system to back up illogic, meaning at the end of the day even when you see through their lies you still are forced to bear witness to an intricate killing machine dictating every possible choice you have available in your life. Illogic is so easy for officials to use and get away with because the reporters do not question it and the completely isolated general public does not care beyond what serves their tentative comfortable isolation and because police don’t arrest genociders (such as politicians and judges and c-suite thieves and Blackrock/Vanguard managers and stolen-wealth hoarders), and because society looks down on anyone who questions it all teachers who mention it get fired, and so on. This week alone media-facing politicians and CEOs and cops and more are consistently slinging easily refuted illogic; such as “There are dangerous people in Gaza who want Israel gone”, and “Israel has a right to self-defense”, and “I wasn’t president during the 2020 protests.” The illogic is clear and just under the surface!

Of course there are people in Gaza actively resisting and praying for the downfall of their colonizer abusers. Of course the subjugated are dangerous to their oppressors. Of course there exists an individual and collective resistance against ones’ own abusers. Of course those actively interpersonally or systemically abusing others have absolutely no right to self-defense when people respond with violence to stop the abuse, and we should not be surprised by one colonizer who would claim another colonizer has a right to self-defense. And Joe Biden, that fucker may not have been president in 2020 (only elected), but he’s been a politician for DECADES writing the very legislation which led to the police that we know today who murdered George Floyd and Breanna Taylor and untold thousands of others per year (it is much much more than official counts). Further, in his career he’s written legislation or voted or advocated or personally directed to further empower police and military and prisons and segregation and Israel and corporations and financial institutions and deportations (all of which benefit colonization domestically and abroad). This is the truth just under the surface, easily disproven lies used to distract and excuse behavior. It is ethical and logical for people to resist colonization by any means necessary, it is so completely illogical that it’s farcical to use resistance as justification for continued or escalated colonization. Illogic is a truly farcical thing used most often to do the most unethical shit. Of course Biden is majorly to blame for how police acted in 2020 and every other fucking year and this year 2024 too, he knows it better than anyone and gets to utilize the political equivalent of “nuh-uh” and then our society largely accepts it and moves on.

All nation-states (today’s empires) require illogic to exist to perpetuate their unethical behavior. (The very presence of an illogic-run system indicates a complete take over by an oppressive entity). Each violently homogenized what used to be tens of thousands of groups of people within their real-estate-based borders under their complete control, then sold them on a new false-nationality and the dehumanization of others to justify the cycle of capitalist expansion. It is absolutely no coincidence that today’s unethical governments spew so much condescendingly-easily disproven illogical bile, like “your vote matters,” when the evidence is begging us to ask, “for who? why just you?”
