How To Help People
- know that giving direct aid is a fundamental survival technique – “your most important survival skill is asking for help” – we all need it
- realize that people already know what will help themselves and their community
- ask, listen, believe, then assist and support people in the way they say they need/want – even when they aren’t nice or productive in return
- involve your friends/family/neighbors in the effort to support others in your city or town or online
- prioritize planning and budgeting (money, energy, and time), in order to be consistent long-term, for example try: giving at least an hour’s worth of work in wages per week or every other week to someone else and go from there.
- the more people who support others, the less we all have to give (in energy and money), and the quicker we can build enough people power to change this world
